This past month has brought incredible opportunities to get up close to some amazing photography.  Steven Kasher Gallery hosted a splendid twin exhibition of Weegee and Vivian Maier photographs.  This past week, the gallery treated visitors to an excellent tour - given by the reknowned photography collector and connisseur John Bennette - of the Maier photographs, some appearing in print form for the first time.  The Pace Gallery's museum quality 'Happenings: New York, 1958-1963' exhibition brought together an incredible body of work including photography and film footage that recreated this fascinating artistic milieau, a superb achievement given it's essentially ephemeral performance-art-based nature.  Another excellent exhibition, put on by Julie Saul Gallery, took a close look at the work of three...
